Christian Horner Reportedly Reaching Out to Various Formula 1 Team Principals
Ex-Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is apparently "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he pursues a re-entry to grand prix racing, as stated by Aston Martin F1 CEO Andy Cowell.
The Silverstone-based squad is included in the organizations that are connected to Horner.
Cowell revealed he had confirmed the developments with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll recently at the Marina Bay race.
"It seems like Christian is contacting nearly every team principal at the moment," stated the executive.
"I can unequivocally confirm there are no intentions for the participation of Christian in an operational or investment role in the future."
Other Teams Respond
The American team boss Ayao Komatsu revealed that the former Red Bull leader had "contacted" the US-based team but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. It's over."
The Renault-owned team top official Steve Nielsen stated the squad's senior consultant and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with Horner.
Nielsen commented: "I'm unaware what they converse about. All I can confirm is there are no arrangements for Christian to arrive at Alpine but that isn't to say it couldn't occur."
The Grove-based squad team principal James Vowles confirmed that the former Red Bull leader had not reached out to them.
"We're content with the organization we have and it's working," the team principal said. "I see no justification to change from that."
Background Context
The former team principal is eligible to rejoin Formula 1 by the second half of the coming year after concluding a separation agreement with Red Bull on the 22nd of September.
The fifty-one-year-old was dismissed as the team's leader after the British GP in summer.
Multiple sources at Red Bull have indicated the agreement deal was worth €60 million (£52 million).
